We have welcomed
three new residents
to FOKE in 2021 so far
Jyotsna Mukherjee was rescued from Charaktala, Behala in Kolkata on 29th December 2020, admitted to HOPE hospital for treatment and finally arrived at Bhalobasha on 9 January 2021. We are very happy to have the honour of serving and caring for her. Jyotsna is a kind and gentle lady with a dry wit and an infinite capacity for good cheer.
Lakhi Aghran was rescued from Dhakuria by Gariahat Police, and with the help of Hive India was admitted in Sambhu Nath Pandit hospital. On 13th October Lakshi came to live with us. We were very happy that her niece and nephew were traced soon after her arrival at FOKE and that she has now been reunited with her loved ones.
Zubeida was rescued from Salimpur in Kolkata on 9th September 2021. We were very happy that her family was traced soon after her arrival at FOKE. Regretfully they have refused to accept her back. She continues to live with us and is safe and cared for here. We are continuing our efforts to convince her son and relatives to take responsibility for her.
