Our Charunibash home was badly affected by the Amphan cyclonic storm. Tiles in the prayer room and the room upstairs were broken by the numerous trees and branches falling down on and around the house. The staff and some of the members worked very hard to fix the roof and clean the house and the surroundings, cutting trees and slowly putting everything back in order. There was no electricity in the house for more than 2 weeks. Packaged water was purchased as well as taken from the nearest running water available. The pillar of the gate in Bhalobasha nearly fell down, but is repaired now. Electricity resumed after 3 days in Bhalobasha.
