In Gratitude We Stand
We at FOKE consider ourselves to be blessed. Over the years we have grown from strength to strength. From blanket distribution to food programmes, from housing and care for the destitute elderly to outreach programmes for marginalised communities, from rescue and rehabilitation to medical treatment – not once have we had to hesitate due to financial or indeed any other constraints.
We have been able to realise our dream of helping the destitute elderly and give them back their sense of dignity through the support of a great many individuals, families and institutions. The list below is by no means comprehensive, it is but an attempt to acknowledge the generosity of spirit that has connected people from all walks of life, across the globe in this noble cause. There are many others on this journey of ours who have either chosen to remain anonymous or whose names we do not even know, but who have given generously of their time and resources. We gratefully acknowledge the contribution of all those who have been a part of FOKE’s journey in any way.
Late Mrs Debrani Mukherjee and her family, namely her three sons, Dilip, Swapan, Atanu Mukherjee and their daughter Chaina Mukherjee who made Charunibas, our second full-fledged home possible. They handed over their ancestral property to us to create a home for the destitute. Mrs. Mukherjee took much pride in what was achieved at her ancestral home and we will forever be grateful to the Mukherjee family for their generosity and spirit of philanthropy.
We will also be forever grateful for the love and trust reposed in us by the people of Ireland.
