Today Dublin School Colaiste Aoine had a most wonderful afternoon with the Members and Students. They come every year and in 2004 were the first ever school to visit Bhalobasha.
A feast was served for lunch. It was wonderful to see my beloved Bela back in MB especially in the kitchen quietly achieving perfection as always. In 13 years have yet to hear her voice raised She and all of us have been blessed by her most rare gifts which have blessed us all (especially me) with laughter as we entertained the ladies during power cuts mysteriously batting and bowling in candlelight to whoops of Joy. One very memorable night all were disgusted that the power had returned and that the virtual match was over. Maya made for the switch to turn back off the lights. No greater example needed of true joy.
Sanghita gave a beautiful talk to the group after lunch which made me both proud to be Irish and even more proud to be realising long held dreams we all hold for the elderly of this precious State and City.
The day ended in a joyous 12-12 draw in football with the Irish against the home team of Madhubati boys. Ireland were losing at the time due to a few dodgy close decisions by Umpire Lovely. Kamala was the coach but Parul was hoping for an Irish Win which might be celebrated by a quiet biri.
Thank you to one and all for making today one of the precious highlights of their trip.
